One-to-one online O-Level Mathematics tutoring covering Elementary Mathematics (4048) and Additional Mathematics (4049). Singapore-based tutors — NIE-qualified, ex-MOE — coaching the full Sec 1-4 syllabus across number, algebra, geometry, calculus (A-Math), trigonometry, and the exam-paper technique that separates A1 from B3. Free trial, pay only if it's the right fit.
Most Express stream Singapore students take BOTH E-Math (4048) and A-Math (4049) — E-Math is mandatory; A-Math is the gateway to JC H2 Math. The combined load is substantial: weekly tests, monthly milestones, two prelim sets, and the actual O-Levels at end of Sec 4. Strong students lose marks most often not on content but on exam technique — careless errors in algebra, unjustified working in proofs, time management on Paper 2 long-form questions.
Our O-Level Math tutors are based in Singapore and have a track record of guiding students to A1 in both papers. They coach the full curriculum — surds, indices, polynomials, partial fractions, binomial theorem, exponentials and logarithms (A-Math), differentiation and integration, applications of calculus, trigonometry identities, vectors — and drill exam-style time management on past O-Level papers.
Hand-picked tutors based in Singapore who actively teach Mathematics for the Singapore Secondary curriculum — NIE-qualified, ex-MOE, and proven track record of strong exam outcomes. Book a free trial to be matched.

E-Math (Elementary Mathematics, 4048) is the mandatory Math subject for all Express stream students — covers number, algebra, geometry, mensuration, statistics, probability. A-Math (Additional Mathematics, 4049) is an additional subject taken alongside E-Math by students continuing to JC — adds polynomials, partial fractions, binomial theorem, exponentials, logarithms, calculus (differentiation + integration), trigonometric identities. Most strong students take both; A-Math is virtually required for JC H2 Math.
E-Math: Paper 1 (2 hours, no calculator) + Paper 2 (2.5 hours, with calculator). A-Math: Paper 1 (2 hours, no calculator) + Paper 2 (2.5 hours, with calculator). Both subjects weight Paper 2 more heavily because it features long-form, multi-step problems where students lose the most marks. Time management on Paper 2 is what tutoring drills hardest.
By experience: integration applications (areas under curves, kinematics), trigonometric identities and proofs (especially harmonic identity), partial fractions, and the calculus stationary points (turning points and inflection points) section. We sequence lessons so the harder topics get extra time in Sec 4 prelim revision.
Most JCs require A1 or A2 in O-Level A-Math to take H2 Math at JC level — some accept B3 with strong overall L1R5 score. The cut-off varies by JC. Top JCs (Raffles, Hwa Chong, ACSI, NJC) typically want A1 in A-Math for H2 Math admission.
Sec 3 is the most common starting point — A-Math (4049) introduces formal calculus concepts that don't appear in earlier years, and weekly tests start building toward the prelim grade that informs JC predicted grades. Sec 4 students typically intensify to 2 sessions/week in the 3 months before O-Levels.
Live pricing is shown in the tutor cards above. O-Level Math rates in Singapore typically range from SGD 60-150/hr for online sessions depending on tutor experience (NIE undergraduate, NIE-qualified, ex-MOE teacher). The free trial is genuinely free, no card required.
