One-to-one online O-Level Pure Chemistry (6092) tutoring from Singapore-based tutors for Sec 3-4 students. Atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, acids/bases/salts, redox, organic chemistry — assessed in Paper 1 (MCQ) + Paper 2 (structured + free-response). SPA practical coaching and exam technique included. Free trial, pay only if it's the right fit.
O-Level Pure Chemistry (6092) is the standard prerequisite for JC H2 Chemistry — which in turn is the gateway to NUS Medicine, NUS Pharmacy, NUS Chemical Engineering, and most overseas Medicine programmes. A strong A1 at O-Level is the first signal universities (and JC selection panels) look at. The challenge: Chemistry rewards both memorisation (functional groups, reaction conditions) and structured problem-solving (stoichiometric calculations, equilibrium, mole concept) — schools rarely have time to drill both individually.
Our O-Level Chemistry tutors are based in Singapore and aligned to the current MOE / SEAB syllabus. They drill the mole concept (where most students lose marks), structured organic chemistry (functional group transformations), and the high-application Paper 2 free-response questions — all under exam conditions on past papers.
Hand-picked tutors based in Singapore who actively teach Chemistry for the Singapore Secondary curriculum — NIE-qualified, ex-MOE, and proven track record of strong exam outcomes. Book a free trial to be matched.

Two papers: Paper 1 (40 multiple-choice, 1 hour, 30%) and Paper 2 (Section A structured + Section B free-response, 1h 45min, 70%). Topics: Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Stoichiometry & Mole Concept, Acids/Bases/Salts, Redox & Electrolysis, Rate of Reaction, Energy from Chemicals, Periodic Table, Organic Chemistry, Air & Environmental Chemistry. SPA coursework adds 20% separately.
Stoichiometric calculations (mole concept) — particularly limiting reagent and percentage yield questions in Paper 2. Many strong students lose marks on the calculation steps despite knowing the chemistry. We drill mole-concept questions in every session until the technique is automatic.
Organic chemistry typically accounts for ~15-20% of the O-Level Chem paper but ramps up significantly at JC H2 level. Students who internalise the homologous series (alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, carboxylic acids) and key transformations (combustion, addition, substitution, esterification) at O-Level make the JC transition much smoother. We sequence organic chemistry early so it gets multiple rounds of revision.
Most JCs require A1 or A2 in O-Level Chemistry to take H2 Chemistry — top JCs (Raffles, Hwa Chong, ACSI, NJC) typically want A1, especially for students aiming for NUS Medicine, NUS Dentistry, or Pharmacy where DP H2 Chem is a hard prerequisite.
Pure Chemistry begins in Sec 3 as a standalone subject. Most students start tutoring in mid-Sec 3 (October-November) after their first Chemistry tests reveal weak topics. Sec 4 students intensify in the months before prelims (June-August) and again before O-Levels.
Live pricing is shown in the tutor cards above. O-Level Chemistry rates in Singapore typically range from SGD 60-150/hr for online sessions depending on tutor experience. The free trial is genuinely free, no card required.
