Some do — Chevening requires professional experience, and leadership-focused awards weigh it heavily. Straight-from-bachelor's applicants aren't shut out of the tier: many university and partial awards judge on academics alone. Check each award's eligibility on its page, and pick targets that match where your CV actually is.

Often backwards for master's study: flagship deadlines close so far ahead that waiting for an offer can cost you the funding cycle entirely.
