100 awards · 17 countries

Master's scholarships abroad

The richest scholarship tier there is: Chevening, Commonwealth, Fulbright, GREAT and 39 more master's awards — many pairing a full ride with a one-year degree.

Master's study is where the world's scholarship money concentrates: 43 of the 58 awards in our catalog fund postgraduate degrees. The government flagships — Chevening and Commonwealth for the UK, Fulbright for the US, Australia Awards — cover everything, and pairing one with a one-year UK master's is arguably the single cheapest route to an elite degree anywhere.

The flagships share a demanding profile: excellent academics, leadership evidence, and often professional experience — Chevening, for instance, requires it. Deadlines commonly close close to a year before study starts. Below the flagships sits a much wider band of university and partial awards (GREAT Scholarships, university merit funding) where good-but-not-extraordinary candidates win regularly — the tier most applicants should anchor on.

Frequently asked questions

Master's scholarships abroad — what students ask us most.

Which master's scholarships give me the best odds?

Not the famous ones. University awards and partial schemes like the GREAT Scholarships select from far smaller applicant pools than Chevening or Fulbright, and merit discounts at offer stage are won routinely by strong applicants. The sound strategy is one or two flagship applications where your profile genuinely fits, on top of a base of realistic university awards.

Do master's scholarships require work experience?

Some do — Chevening requires professional experience, and leadership-focused awards weigh it heavily. Straight-from-bachelor's applicants aren't shut out of the tier: many university and partial awards judge on academics alone. Check each award's eligibility on its page, and pick targets that match where your CV actually is.

Can I get admission first and find funding later?

Often backwards for master's study: flagship deadlines close so far ahead that waiting for an offer can cost you the funding cycle entirely. Run the two applications in parallel — course and scholarship — with the scholarship calendar setting the pace. This is exactly the timeline management your counsellor handles, free.

Is the university placement service really free?

Yes, our service is 100% free. Counselling, university matching, application support and guidance right up to your offer cost you nothing. There are no consultation fees and no agent fees, because we are funded by our university partners. The only cost you take on is the university’s own tuition or semester fees, which you pay directly to the university after you accept your offer.

What exactly do you help with?

Everything from start to finish: understanding your options, shortlisting the right programme, preparing your application and personal statement, submitting to the university, and guiding you through the offer, enrolment and visa paperwork, all with a dedicated counsellor.
