Bachelor's funding lives in entrance awards and university merit money, not the famous national schemes — here's where it actually is, across 12 countries.
Most of the world's famous scholarships fund postgraduates, which misleads school leavers into thinking there's nothing for them. There is — it just lives elsewhere: Canadian entrance awards decided with your admission (Toronto's Pearson, UBC, Waterloo, Calgary), UK university awards like Bristol's Think Big, government schemes like Japan's MEXT and New Zealand's Manaaki, and the Netherlands' Holland and Orange Tulip programmes.
The undergraduate playbook is different from the postgraduate one: awards mostly ride on your admission application, so applying early with your strongest predicted grades is the scholarship strategy. And because bachelor's degrees run three to four years, a partial award compounds — a 25% discount on a four-year degree is a year of free tuition.

SGD 50 in total, charged as 2 monthly instalments of SGD 25. University tuition is separate and paid directly to the university.
Undergraduate scholarships to study abroad — what students ask us most.
They exist and they're brutal: Toronto's Pearson Scholarships and Japan's MEXT undergraduate track both cover full degrees and both select tiny cohorts from global fields. Apply if your record is exceptional, but plan around the realistic tier — partial entrance and merit awards, which are won by strong-but-normal applicants every intake.
Usually when you apply for admission, not after: entrance awards are decided from the admission file, and many university merit awards attach automatically to strong offers. That makes the timeline simple — apply early, with predicted grades, and the scholarship consideration comes with it. Separate-application awards are flagged on each scholarship's page.
Competitive awards want top-band results — strong A-Levels, a high IB score, or equivalent — but 'competitive' varies widely by university and award size. Smaller merit discounts reach much deeper into the applicant pool than the flagship awards. Have a counsellor read your predicted grades against the actual award criteria, free, before you rule anything in or out.
A flat SGD 50, billed as two monthly instalments of SGD 25. That covers everything: counselling, university matching, application support and guidance right up to your offer. There are no hidden extras, no agent fees and no commission on your tuition, because our counselling is funded by our university partners, the SGD 50 only covers administration. Separately, you pay the university’s own tuition or semester fees directly to the university after you accept your offer.
Everything from start to finish: understanding your options, shortlisting the right programme, preparing your application and personal statement, submitting to the university, and guiding you through the offer, enrolment and visa paperwork, all with a dedicated counsellor.
