Think Big is the University of Bristol's flagship scholarship scheme for international students, funding a large annual cohort across almost all undergraduate and one-year taught master's programmes.
Awards are made on the strength of a short written application about your ambitions and how a Bristol degree supports them — academic results matter, but the essays carry real weight.

Eligibility
- Classified as an international (overseas) fee payer
- An offer to start an eligible full-time undergraduate or taught postgraduate course at Bristol
- Not already in receipt of full external funding

How to apply
- Apply for your Bristol course through UCAS or the university's postgraduate portal
- Complete the online Think Big application, including the short motivation questions
- Submit before the round deadline — earlier rounds typically have more awards available
- Decisions are emailed before the start of term and applied as a tuition-fee discount

There are no consultation fees and no agent fees, because we are funded by our university partners. The only cost you take on is the university’s own tuition or semester fees, which you pay directly to the university after you accept your offer.
