Free IGCSE English Literature Notes: Set Texts
Free IGCSE English Literature notes depend on your set texts and poems — unlike science, one generic PDF rarely fits every school. This guide explains how to build free quotation banks, use community notes safely, and link to scoring a 9 in literature. For language skills, see free IGCSE English notes. Hub: free IGCSE notes.
What literature “notes” should contain
| Element | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Plot / scene summary | Orientation only — not enough alone |
| Character and theme bullets | Exam paragraphs |
| Short quotations | Evidence with line references |
| Writer’s methods | Imagery, structure, tone (writer’s effect) |
| Context (brief) | Where syllabus rewards it |
Do not memorise long model essays from free sites — examiners reward focused analysis of the question.
