IB Diploma Programme Chemistry Standard Level is a two-year group-4 science in the International Baccalaureate Diploma. The new guide is organised around two unifying concepts — structure and reactivity — connected by the idea that structure determines reactivity, which in turn transforms structure. SL covers the core standard-level content, supported by a practical programme; the former option topics have been removed. Assessment is two external examination papers plus an internally assessed scientific investigation, graded on the IB 1-7 scale.
