Edexcel IGCSE English Revision: 4EA1 Guide
Edexcel IGCSE English revision follows Pearson 4EA1 (or the code your centre enters) — not Cambridge 0500 past papers. Skills overlap (reading and writing), but question styles and mark schemes are board-specific.
Hub: IGCSE English revision · Edexcel past papers · modular English.

- Download the current 4EA1 specification from Pearson.
- Collect Edexcel-labelled past papers only.
- Review Edexcel common mistakes and top tested skills.
- If your school uses modular routes, read modular vs linear guide.
Weekly plan (Edexcel)
| Session | Focus |
|---|---|
| 1 | Reading comprehension timed |
| 2 | Transactional / directed writing |
| 3 | Creative or imaginative writing (per spec) |
| 4 | Mark scheme review |
Cambridge-specific drills still help skills but not wording — use 0500 Paper 1 only if your teacher cross-trains.
