IGCSE May/June 2027 Registration: What to Know Now (Timetable Not Yet Published)
IGCSE May/June 2027 is the next major international sitting — bigger than the October/November 2026 series in between. Registration windows are already opening, even though the detailed day-by-day timetable isn’t public yet. Here’s exactly what’s confirmed, what’s still provisional, and how to get ahead of it properly.
What’s Confirmed So Far
- Estimated entries deadline: 10 October 2026. Cambridge schools submit estimated entry numbers by this date — this is the first real deadline in the May/June 2027 cycle, and it’s already inside the October/November 2026 exam window, so don’t let one sitting distract from the other.
- A provisional timetable exists, but only on Cambridge’s school-facing “Direct” portal — it isn’t public yet. Detailed zone-by-zone timetables (the ones with exact subject dates) are typically released a few months closer to the series, based on when equivalent October/November 2026 timetables were published.
What’s Expected, But Not Yet Official
Based on the typical pattern from recent years (for reference, the May/June 2026 series ran 23 April – 9 June 2026, with results 18–19 August 2026), you can reasonably expect the May/June 2027 series to:
- Run roughly late April to early June 2027
- Have a final entries deadline around February 2027
- Have a late entries deadline around mid-April 2027
- Release results around mid-August 2027
These are historical-pattern estimates, not confirmed dates. We’ll publish the full country-by-country timetable — the same format as our October/November 2026 timetables — as soon as Cambridge and Edexcel release official dates.
What You Can Do Now
You don’t need exact exam dates to start preparing properly:
- Confirm your registration status with your school — ask whether estimated entries have been submitted for May/June 2027.
- Start (or continue) a structured revision plan — the syllabus and subject content don’t change based on when the exact timetable is published.
- Don’t lose track of Oct/Nov 2026 — if you’re also entered for the smaller October/November 2026 sitting (e.g. for a retake), see our registration deadlines guide — those deadlines are real and imminent.
- Check back here — this page will be updated with the official timetable and a full set of country-specific exam-date guides once Cambridge and Edexcel publish them.
Why We’re Not Publishing Exact Dates Yet
Cambridge and Edexcel publish detailed subject-by-subject timetables a few months ahead of each series — not a full year out. Publishing invented or estimated exam dates as if they were official would risk sending students to sit an exam on the wrong day. We’d rather tell you clearly what’s confirmed, what’s a reasonable estimate, and update this page the moment official dates exist.
