IB Diploma November 2026 results are released in January 2027. Here’s what to expect.

When Are Results Released?

The IB releases November session results in January, typically communicated to schools shortly before release. Unlike Cambridge and Edexcel, the IB does not publish a single fixed public date months in advance for every school — your school’s IB Coordinator will confirm your exact results date and time as it approaches.

How to Get Your Results

• Results are released to your school first, or directly to you via IBIS (the IB Information System), depending on your school’s arrangements.
• Your coordinator will confirm exactly how and when you’ll see your results.

What You’ll Receive

Statement of Results

• A score out of 45 (7 points per subject across six subjects, plus up to 3 additional points for Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay combined)
• Individual subject grades (1–7 scale)

Diploma or Certificate

• If you meet the full Diploma requirements, you receive the IB Diploma
• If not, you may receive a Course Results certificate for individual subjects completed

What the Scores Mean

Score	Meaning
45	Maximum possible score
24	Approximate minimum to pass the full Diploma (subject to conditions)
Below threshold	Diploma not awarded; course certificates may still apply

If You’re Unhappy With Results

• Enquiry Upon Results (EUR) — your school can request a re-mark within the IB’s published window; ask your coordinator about deadlines and costs.
• Retakes — you can retake failed or low-scoring subjects, most commonly in the May 2027 session.
