About this scholarship
SINGA funds international students to complete a PhD in science or engineering at Singapore's leading universities, with research placements in A*STAR's national labs.
It is one of Asia's most generous doctoral packages, aimed at building Singapore's research talent pipeline.

Eligibility
- Open to all international graduates with a passion for research
- A strong bachelor's or master's degree in science, technology or engineering
- Good English communication skills; no separate test required for most applicants
- Willing to complete the PhD in Singapore at NUS, NTU, SMU or SUTD
How to apply
- Identify a supervisor and research area across the partner institutions
- Apply online with transcripts, two referee reports and your passport details
- Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the host institution
- Awards are confirmed two to three months after each deadline

Yes, our service is 100% free. Counselling, university matching, application support and guidance right up to your offer cost you nothing. There are no consultation fees and no agent fees, because we are funded by our university partners. The only cost you take on is the university’s own tuition or semester fees, which you pay directly to the university after you accept your offer.
