Course overview
Universiti Malaya's Faculty of Business and Economics is the oldest economics faculty in the country, and the degree keeps a firm quantitative core — micro, macro and econometrics — before opening into applied fields such as development and monetary economics.
Kuala Lumpur's role as a regional financial centre means internships with Bank Negara Malaysia, the Securities Commission and the big banks are a realistic part of the degree rather than an aspiration.
