IGCSE Exam Day Checklist: What to Pack the Night Before
Packing your IGCSE exam bag the night before reduces morning stress and helps ensure nothing is forgotten. Use this checklist.
The Night Before
1. Stationery
- 2–3 black or blue ballpoint pens
- 2 pencils (sharpened)
- Eraser
- Ruler (30 cm)
- Compass and protractor
- Sharpener (if allowed; check centre rules)
- Clear pencil case (no opaque cases)
2. Calculator (if needed)
- Approved calculator
- Fresh or checked batteries
- No cover or remove cover if required
3. Documents
- Statement of entry
- Photo ID (passport/school ID/national ID)
- Any access arrangements paperwork (if applicable)
4. Other
- Clear water bottle (labels removed)
- Tissues (unopened pack)
- Small snack for before/after (if allowed; keep outside exam room)
5. Clothes
- Comfortable outfit (consider exam room temperature)
- Jacket or jumper in case it’s cold
Morning Of
- Eat a light breakfast
- Use the toilet before leaving
- Leave in time to arrive 30 minutes early
- Phone switched off and left in bag or at home
