Many students in Singapore studying Cambridge IGCSE Biology do fine in class but still feel unsure when they revise alone.

That usually happens because school lessons explain the topic, but they do not always give students a strong system for what to do between classes.

Why Biology revision often feels unproductive

Students often spend too much time:

• rereading notes
• highlighting the textbook
• memorising facts without testing recall
• avoiding weaker topics until late

That creates the feeling of working hard without making enough progress.

What better Biology revision looks like

A stronger Biology revision system usually includes:

• topic-by-topic review
• active recall of processes and keywords
• exam-style question practice
• proper review of mistakes

A better workflow outside school

A useful structure is:

1. review one topic clearly
2. test memory without looking at the notes
3. answer questions on that topic
4. review mistakes and unclear terms

This works better than repeatedly rereading the same chapter.
