A successful O Level preparation course runs on a calendar, not hope. This 12-month timetable fits students who start structured prep roughly one academic year before May/June (shift months if you sit October/November).

Months 8–6: Finish syllabus + light papers

  • Close remaining syllabus topics
  • Half-papers or single-section timed work
  • Register as private candidate if applicable
  • Confirm ATP/practical dates with centre

Months 5–3: Past paper phase

  • One full paper per subject every 1–2 weeks
  • Mark with official schemes; ATP focus for sciences
  • Use grade boundary tracker for motivation—not prediction

Months 2–1: Exam readiness

  • Full mocks under exam conditions
  • Redo worst questions only
  • Taper intensity in final 7 days—sleep and logistics
