How to Find IGCSE Exam Centers Near You
Finding an IGCSE exam center is the first step for private candidates. Here’s how to find one for Cambridge and Edexcel.
Quick links: find exam centres
- Find a Cambridge school – Search by country and city for Cambridge IGCSE centres and see which accept private candidates.
- Find a Pearson (Edexcel) centre – Search by country for Edexcel International GCSE centres.
Finding a Cambridge IGCSE Center
- British Council: In many countries the British Council is the main Cambridge partner. Go to the British Council website for your country and look for “Cambridge exams” or “school exams.”
- Cambridge website: Use the official Cambridge “find a school” or “exam centre” search and filter by country and “Cambridge IGCSE.”
- Contact schools: Some Cambridge-approved schools accept private candidates; check with the centre directly.
Finding an Edexcel (Pearson) Center
- Pearson website: Use the “find a centre” (or “test centre”) tool, choose your country, and look for centres that offer International GCSE (Edexcel).
- Schools: Many international schools are Pearson centres; some allow external candidates.
What to Ask the Centre
- Do you accept private candidates?
- Which sessions do you offer (e.g. May/June, October/November)?
- Which subjects can I take here?
- What are the registration deadlines and fees?
- Do you offer practicals or alternative to practical for sciences?
