IGCSE October November 2026 Exam Timetable Europe UK: GMT/CET Timezone and Key Dates
Students in the UK and Europe sitting the IGCSE October/November 2026 exams need to use the correct timetable for their exam board. Both Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE are widely offered in the UK—Edexcel is particularly common. Check with your school which board you use.
Cambridge IGCSE
UK and European centres use either the UK timetable or the Zone 3 timetable, depending on their centre. UK centres have a dedicated timetable; European centres use Zone 3 (or UK where applicable).

Timezone: GMT / CET — Clocks Change Mid-Series
Unlike the May/June series, the October/November series spans the end of British Summer Time and Central European Summer Time. Clocks fall back on Sunday 25 October 2026:
- Before 25 October: UK on British Summer Time (BST), UTC+1; most of Europe on Central European Summer Time (CEST), UTC+2.
- From 25 October onward: UK on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), UTC+0; most of Europe on Central European Time (CET), UTC+1.
Exam times on the timetable are in local time for your centre — double-check whether your paper falls before or after the clock change.

Pearson Edexcel IGCSE
Pearson Edexcel IGCSE uses different timetables from Cambridge. Edexcel is very widely used in the UK. If your school follows Edexcel, you must use the Edexcel timetable—do not use the Cambridge timetable above.

- Exam period: 27 October – 19 November 2026
- Results release: 21 January 2027 (students); 20 January (centres)
- Check with your school to confirm which exam board you use—Cambridge and Edexcel have different timetables and key dates.
Important for UK and European Students
- UK has its own timetable – Separate from other Zone 3 centres; use the UK-specific PDF.
- This is the smaller sitting – The October/November series has fewer candidates than May/June, and is commonly used for retakes and private candidates.
- Mind the clock change – 25 October 2026 is when UK and EU clocks fall back an hour, right in the middle of the series. Confirm your exact session time with your centre, especially for exams scheduled that week.
- AM/PM sessions – Times are set locally; confirm with your centre.
