International School Fees Zimbabwe: Budget to Premium Guide 2025–2026
International School Fees Zimbabwe: Budget to Premium
Zimbabwe (Harare, Bulawayo and other towns) has international schools from budget to premium – British, Cambridge and other curricula. This guide gives fee ranges and example schools so you can make an informed choice. Note: fees are often quoted in USD; confirm payment currency.
Quick overview of fee ranges (annual tuition, indicative, USD)
- Budget: Roughly USD 2,500–5,500 per year (primary). Newer or smaller schools, recognised curricula.
- Mid-tier: Roughly USD 6,500–11,000 per year (primary). Established schools, good facilities.
- Premium: Roughly USD 12,000–20,000+ per year (primary). Top facilities, strong IGCSE/A level.
Secondary and exam years are typically higher. Harare has the widest choice.
Budget end: example schools and fees
Hellenic Primary School, St John’s Preparatory School and Chisipite Senior School (certain programmes) can sit in the budget band. Primary often USD 3,000–5,500 per year. Check each school’s latest fee schedule.
Mid-tier: example schools and fees
Peterhouse Group, Arundel School and St George’s College are mid-tier examples. Primary often USD 7,000–11,000; secondary/IGCSE/A level can be USD 11,000–16,000. Strong British/Cambridge provision.
Premium: example schools and fees
Peterhouse, Arundel School (full programme) and St George’s College (senior years) sit at the premium end. Primary can be USD 13,000–18,000 and secondary/A level USD 16,000–22,000+. Boarding adds to cost. Extensive facilities and university placement.
What to watch beyond tuition
- Registration and enrolment fees (one-off; can be USD 500–2,000+).
- Learning support and EAL – often extra; can add USD 1,200–3,500+ per year.
- Board exam fees (IGCSE, A level) – not in tuition; budget USD 800–2,500+ per exam session.
- Currency: most schools quote USD; confirm and plan for FX if paying in ZWL.

How to choose
- Set your budget band and curriculum; request full fee schedules (tuition + one-off and annual extras).
- Compare total cost over 3–5 years and fee progression by year group.
- Clarify what is included vs add-on (support, trips, exams) and payment currency.
