This list is based on analysis of Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics 4MA1 past papers (2019–2024), examiner reports, mark schemes and specification. Topics are ranked by frequency and mark allocation.

1. Algebra (manipulation, equations)

Evidence: Algebra appears in almost every paper. Examiner reports note working and manipulation errors.
