How to Register for IGCSE Via School

If you’re at a Cambridge or Edexcel approved school, your IGCSE registration is usually handled by the school. Understanding how that works helps you and your parents stay on top of deadlines and choices.

How School Registration Works

• The school is the exam centre and enters students with the exam board.
• The school collects your subject choices, checks syllabus and option codes (e.g. core/extended, paper options), and submits entries by the board’s deadline.
• Fees are typically paid to the school, which then pays the board.
• You receive a Statement of Entry (or similar) to confirm subjects and exam dates.

What You and Your Parents Need to Do

1. Confirm subject choices with the school by their internal deadline (often earlier than the board deadline).
2. Check the exam timetable when the school shares it so you know when each paper is.
3. Pay school exam fees by the date the school sets.
