IGCSE Exam Venue Tips: Arriving Prepared for May June 2026
Arriving prepared and on time at your IGCSE exam venue reduces stress and helps you focus. Here’s how to get it right.
Before Exam Day
1. Visit the Venue (If Possible)
- Do a practice journey at a similar time
- Note parking, public transport, or drop-off points
- Check entrance and signage
- Estimate journey time and add buffer
2. Know Your Schedule
- Confirm date, time, and room for each exam
- Check your statement of entry
- Note any AM/PM or timezone details
- Plan for multiple exams on the same day
3. Plan Your Journey
- UAE/Dubai – Allow extra time for traffic
- Singapore/Malaysia – Consider MRT/LRT or bus times
- Europe/UK – Check for strikes or delays
- Add at least 30 minutes buffer
On Exam Day
1. Leave Early
- Aim to arrive 20–30 minutes before the start
- Late arrival may mean you cannot sit the exam
2. What to Bring
- Statement of entry and ID
- Pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, compass, protractor
