The maximum marks that can be obtained are 75 marks and this constitutes 30% of the overall score. Paper 3 Consists of free response questions divided into two sections: section A and section B. Section A is made up of 3-4 free-response questions which total up to 60 marks. All questions in this section are compulsory. Section B consists of 2 questions which each student has to choose 1 to complete the paper. The maximum marks obtainable in section A is 20 marks. The weightage of paper 3 is 35% of the overall score. Paper 4 This is known as a practical assessment, which assesses the skills of students in terms of planning, measurement and observation. Students are given 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the assessment, which occupies 20% of the overall grade.
