Veerle K. – IB DP English Language & Literature HL & English Language & Literature SL Tutor Online

Hi, I'm Veerle. I'm an undergraduate at Minerva University, admitted from an applicant pool with a 1% acceptance rate, largely on the strength of my IB results and essay writing. I took IB English A Language and Literature at Higher Level, so I know the course, the assessment criteria, and what actually separates a 5 from a 7 from the inside. I've tutored students during Dutch high school, with a focus on essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, and organization. My approach centers on continuous feedback: rather than a single end-of-draft review, I work with students through multiple rounds, so they see exactly how each revision improves clarity, argument structure, and command of language. That iterative process is what pushed my own writing to a level that got noticed by a highly selective admissions committee, and it's what I aim to build in the students I work with. I'm fluent in both Dutch and English, comfortable teaching in either, and available for regular sessions built around a student's specific paper and target grade. I'm looking forward to working with you!
