About Me

Biology | Chemistry | Physics | Combined Science | Mathematics| Geography | Bahasa Melayu (First Language) | English (Secondary) I am a full-time Biology educator with over 12 years of teaching and tutoring experience, holding a First Class Honours Bachelor of Education (Biology) from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). Throughout my undergraduate studies, I consistently maintained First Class academic standing, reflecting a strong foundation in both biological sciences and science education. I have taught more than 500 students across a broad range of international and national curricula, including Cambridge International (Lower Secondary, IGCSE & International A Level), Pearson Edexcel (Lower Secondary, IGCSE, GCSE & International A Level), AQA (GCSE & IGCSE), UK GCE A Level, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, the Singapore curriculum, and Malaysia's KSSM/SPM curriculum. In addition to extensive tutoring experience, I have completed formal secondary school teaching placements, allowing me to work effectively with students of different academic backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities. My teaching philosophy is centred on conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and independent learning. Rather than encouraging memorisation alone, I guide students to understand the underlying principles behind scientific concepts so they can confidently apply their knowledge to unfamiliar questions and examination scenarios. I believe students achieve their best results when they understand not only what the correct answer is, but also why it is scientifically valid. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student's needs and learning pace. I incorporate structured explanations, visual learning strategies, guided questioning, exam-oriented practice, and real-world scientific applications to make complex topics more accessible and engaging. Whether teaching foundational concepts or advanced examination content, my aim is to develop both academic confidence and long-term problem-solving skills. Over the years, I have supported students with a wide range of academic goals-from strengthening fundamental understanding and improving school performance to preparing for high-stakes public examinations. My lessons are designed not only to help students achieve stronger examination outcomes but also to cultivate curiosity, analytical thinking, and a deeper appreciation of Biology and the sciences.
