IB Diploma Programme Biology Standard Level is a two-year group-4 science in the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Built on the unifying themes of unity and diversity, form and function, interaction and interdependence, and continuity and change, it studies these at four levels of biological organisation: molecules, cells, organisms, and ecosystems. SL covers the core standard-level content alongside a practical programme. Assessment is two external examination papers plus an internally assessed scientific investigation, graded on the IB 1-7 scale.
