Pearson Edexcel International Lower Secondary Science (iLowerSecondary) is a Year 7 to Year 9 framework, internationalised from the English National Curriculum, that bridges primary science to International GCSE. It covers Biology, Chemistry and Physics alongside Scientific Enquiry skills. Year 9 concludes with the externally examined iLowerSecondary Science Achievement Test (LSC11), a 1 hour 20 minute written examination of 80 marks in which calculators may be used.

The iLowerSecondary Science Achievement Test (paper LSC11/01) is a single externally examined written examination of 1 hour 20 minutes and 80 marks: Section A (60 marks) covers Biology, Chemistry and Physics content, and Section B (20 marks) covers Scientific Enquiry skills. Calculators may be used. Outcomes are reported on the iLowerSecondary scale (Level S1 lowest to S4 highest, or Unclassified).
