1. Word processor (Word, Google Docs, Pages).

2. Spreadsheet (Excel, Google Sheets).
- For: numerical data, calculations, budgets, analysis.

3. Database / DBMS (Access, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- For: large structured data, customer/product records.
- Features: tables, relationships, queries, forms, reports, validation, multi-user.
4. Presentation software (PowerPoint, Slides, Keynote).
- For: slideshows, pitches, lectures.
- Features: slides, transitions, animations, master slides, embedded media, speaker notes.
5. Graphics / DTP software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Publisher).
- For: images, posters, layouts, branding.
- Features: image editing, layers, vector tools, typography, templates.
6. Web authoring software (Dreamweaver, Wix, WordPress, Squarespace).
- For: websites.
- Features: page layout, hyperlinks, multimedia, forms, WYSIWYG editing or code.
