What is Pearson Edexcel IGCSE English Language A 4EA1?
Pearson Edexcel IGCSE English Language A (4EA1) is Pearson Edexcel's International GCSE English Language qualification for first-language speakers. The syllabus develops reading comprehension and writing skills across non-fiction and fiction extracts, using a Pearson Anthology of set texts plus unseen passages. Students learn to analyse language and structure, write narratively and discursively, and produce transactional pieces. Assessment is two externally examined papers with optional coursework.
