Cambridge International AS & A Level Sociology (9699) develops students' understanding of the diversity and complexity of human societies. Learners study socialisation, identity and research methods, the family, education, and (at A Level) globalisation, media and religion. The course builds knowledge of sociological theories, methods and research findings, alongside skills in evaluation, comparison and the interpretation of data, with inequality as a key theme. Assessment is by four externally examined written papers with no coursework.
