Cambridge International AS & A Level Further Mathematics (9231) is designed for high-ability students taking, or who have taken, Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics (9709). It extends mathematical skills across four components: Further Pure Mathematics 1, Further Pure Mathematics 2, Further Mechanics, and Further Probability & Statistics. AS Level candidates take two papers (Further Pure Mathematics 1 plus either Further Mechanics or Further Probability & Statistics); A Level candidates take all four. Assessment is by externally examined written papers with no coursework.
