AQA GCSE Chemistry (8462) is a separate-science GCSE covering Atomic structure and the periodic table, Bonding and structure, Quantitative chemistry, Chemical changes, Energy changes, Rate and extent of chemical change, Organic chemistry, Chemical analysis, and Chemistry of the atmosphere, supported by eight required practicals. It is a linear qualification offered at Foundation (grades 1-5) and Higher (grades 4-9) tiers, with all exams sat at the end of the course. Students take two equally weighted written papers, with no coursework.
