After your free trial, you opt in to a monthly plan and pay for it upfront by card. That tops up your account with a set number of tutoring hours (credits). As each home lesson is completed, the hours are deducted from your balance — so you're never handling cash lesson-by-lesson, and credits are only ever used for classes that actually took place.
