Aida A. – IB DP Biology SL & Biology HL Tutor Online

My name is Aida, and I am currently completing my Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) in Immunology at the University of Sydney. I specialise in IB Biology HL and Chemistry SL, subjects in which I have extensive teaching experience and achieved a 6 in my own finals. Beyond core subject tutoring, I also provide targeted support for the Extended Essay (EE) and Internal Assessment (IA) in Biology and Chemistry, helping students achieve what the IB criteria are looking for in their paper while maintaining their original ideas. I began tutoring at 17 when I started working with IGCSE students across Biology (0610), Chemistry (0620), and Mathematics (0580 and 0607), consistently guiding them to achieve A* results. I have since expanded my expertise to include A-Level Biology (9744), giving me a well-rounded foundation across multiple curricula. My teaching philosophy is grounded in visual learning, where I guide students through the processes of how things work rather than presenting content as isolated facts to be memorised. By using tools such as diagrams, flowcharts, and concept maps, I help students build rich mental frameworks that make abstract concepts tangible and intuitive. I firmly believe that deep conceptual understanding allows student to adapt and apply their knowledge when faced with the complex and novel questions that exams bring.
