How to make your profile stand out?

Nine practical steps to build trust, get approved faster, and win more trial bookings. Full field-level guidance appears when you create your profile.

1. Choose a tutor tag that attracts students

   We add a tag so families immediately see who you are. Tell us which best describes you and any data for us to back this up (you can add detail in your profile):

2. Profile photo — what works

   Your photo should be attractive, clear, and high quality, with good lighting — not dark or grainy. Use only yourself in the frame, looking friendly and positive, with a clean background. Frame your face and shoulders; avoid full-body shots where your face is hard to see.

3. Subjects & curricula

   Choose subjects and curricula that align with your qualifications, education, and teaching experience. Families trust tutors who only claim what they can back up.

4. Qualifications & education

   Line up your credentials with what you teach. For example, for Mathematics: do you hold a maths, engineering, or other relevant degree? Highlight international school and formal teaching background where it applies.

5. Teaching experience & track record

   This should match your subjects and curricula. Where you can, include maths teaching or tutoring experience, international school teaching experience, and private tutoring history. If you share how many students you’ve taught, which exam sittings, and grades achieved, it strongly boosts trial bookings.

6. Introduction video

   Introduce yourself in a warm, friendly video. Show familiarity with the curriculum and subject you will teach, and your experience preparing students (or yourself) for these board exams. Share credible numbers where you can — grades your past students achieved, your own results, how many students you’ve taught, schools you’ve taught at — to build trust and lift your profile.

7. Availability & peak slots

   Add slots during our peak booking times so you get maximum visibility. Tutors who add at least five peak slots per day tend to get the most bookings.

8. Pricing

   We serve a global market: lower rates than typical market rates usually bring a high volume of trial bookings. “Mass” markets have more students; premium markets often have fewer. You can raise your rates over time as you build traction, rapport, and a strong reputation.

9. Keep it consistent & up to date

   Make sure your subjects, credentials, video, and story all tell the same story. Update your profile when you gain new qualifications, results, or reviews — fresh, accurate profiles convert best.
